our Community

Every person has the capacity to make the world a better place. So we try, every single day. It starts with a positive outlook, a supportive work environment, and a super creative team willing to do something amazing for the people around us. With such a strong history of giving back, we recently tied our design internship program to our community work. This program has been named SCOUT because together we Serve, Create, Observe, Unite and Thrive. Through the years we've partnered with several nonprofit organizations and recognize the challenges of standing out and being heard.

Community Leadership

In addition to her 20+ years as a graphic designer, Tricia has given much of her time to organizations within her industry and community. Prior to Christiansen Creative, Tricia served on the National Designer Advisory Board for Fox River Paper, and Co-Chaired the AIGA Minnesota Design Show and the Walker Insights Lecture Series.

Since starting the studio in 2002, Tricia focused her energy to the Hudson area. Currently, Tricia serves on the board for YMCA Camp St. Croix and the Hudson Area Library Foundation. She also serves on the Hudson Police and Fire Commission.

In the past she’s instructed at McNally Smith, volunteered as her local Rotary Club’s Communications Chair in addition to serving on the Hudson Community Foundation board, most recently as President. Her initiatives included a local heroin awareness and prevention effort as well as the SPARK grant that provides funding for local ideas.

As a longtime member of AIGA, Tricia also is focused on providing paid internships that help students bridge the gap between their education and professional careers.

With this background, it’s no wonder the national design publication, Graphic Design USA, identified Tricia as a Person to Watch in 2017, as she is “an individual we have come to know and respect for a combination of talent, leadership, success, newsworthiness and community service.”

Shout out from John at Camp St. Croix:

“Christiansen Creative has donated a massive amount of time and energy to support Prairie Burn Music Festival, a fundraising festival for YMCA Camps that has allowed hundreds of kids to come to camp who otherwise would not be able. The emotion, the attention to detail, and the originality of every piece they create is on another level. What you don’t know until you work with them is that on top of all that they are the most pleasant and enthusiastic people in the world.”
